Biliran's Sulfuric River

Few hours before our flight back to Manila, we planned to visit the  Dalutan island. But due to time constraint and the inconvenience of boat travel, we ended up in another pool resort. Well, the pleasant surprise was - a sulphuric river lies beside the resort. I never heard one before. According to the folks, it is sulphuric because the water has a mixture of sulphur coming from a volcano. Biliran by the way is also known as a volcanic island.

We walked for 15 minutes before we reached the river.

We were amazed that this sulphuric river is blueish! It is just a narrow river and we've seen children jumping from the branches of the tree.

Feeling like a child again!

For fun's sake, we all tried to do the jump also but for a foot's high only.

Our second day in Biliran was not a full adventure but the experience was still special. I just remembered the childhood days - the simple hobbies and  the simple games. I think its also healthy to be a "child again" once in a while - leave your worries behind and just play. Seize the day!
